YAB

A group of six young people sitting around a circular table in a cozy restaurant, enjoying pizza and drinks. The restaurant has a brick wall, a large window with colorful curtains, and decorative string lights. Some individuals are seated on sofas and chairs, and there is a potted plant nearby.

SPARK’s Youth Advisory Boards (YABs) are student-led groups that elevate youth voices, build leadership skills, and promote civic engagement. Through collaboration with schools and the wider community, the YABs lead projects and events that support substance use prevention, strengthen mental health protective factors, and address local youth community needs. So far, both Pittsfield High School and Taconic High School have their own SPARK YABs.

Mission Statement:

“We, as a YAB, want to promote youth voices and advocate for positive change.”
